International Journalism Fellowship 2014

As promised six months back,I'm here with free trips.I'll make regular posts,now that I have bagged a trip myself :)

This one is the  GroundTruth Reporting Fellowship on Rising Youth Unemployment.

The aim of the assignment is to create multimedia projects that tell human stories related to the youth unemployment crisis.The project is to be carried out in 10 countries.

Deadline: 31 December 2013
Open to: young reporters of any nationality
Fellowship: budget maximum of $5,000 per person($10,000 for a team of 2) to support reporting projects to tell stories of youth unemployment
Requirement : 3 samples of your previous work for evaluation(videos,writings,photos etc.)

20 fellowship positions are up for grabs.You can apply alone,or with a partner.You will need to submit a proposed plan and roughly estimated budget for the assignment before 31 December,so hurry up!!

1. Youth(18-30 yrs generally)
2. Proficiency in English

Its an added advantage to be a college student  or a recent graduate.Citizenship of  a developing country is an icing on the cake.

If you're OK till this point, you're good to go.

There are hundreds of Youth summits and Conferences happening around the world,throughout the year, who'll invite you to their countries and  pay for your boading,food and travel , if you get selected. And I am not kidding you when I say, HUNDREDS!!r
